From A to E
"Uniting Art and Life" : program created by the national sports association
Its objective is to devise and implement sports-based social programmes in poorer regions, helping fight exclusion in all its forms and promoting sport as a factor for good health.
Uniting Art and Life offers schooling to 450 young people via sport. The project combines sports (football and volleyball) with education, by involving children normally excluded from the education system.

Carrefour mobilizes to bring help to the Chinese people
An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale struck China on Monday 12 May 2008 (at 2.28 pm local time). The epicentre was close to Wenchuan in Sichuan province, in the south west of the country. When the catastrophe was announced on Monday evening, the Carrefour Group - via its International Foundation - paid a grant of 2 million yuan (€200,000) to the Chinese Red Cross as an initial emergency measure. |
