PlaNet Finance is an international solidarity organization which specializes in microfinance. It helps institutions to increase growth by bringing them together and providing services which enable them to develop their technical skills and financial resources.
Each year, PlaNet Finance supports several million microentrepreneurs with a network of permanent international offices in almost 60 countries.

The various services of the organization are designed to meet the needs of a growing sector and help it achieve its goal of establishing financial services available to all:
- technical assistance – the core service - helps improve the capacity of sector participants (IMF, banks, governments, business networks) and the microentrepreneurs themselves
- the financial offering and advice on debt financing helps extend existing lines of credit and boost funding by the IMF
- by using IMF ratings, PlaNet Rating contributes to the general transparency of the sector
By creating a network of microfinancial institutions with MicroCred, the organization is providing much needed financial services to the world’s poorest people.
