Turkey : Economic and social inclusion of vulnerable women
The FSWW (Foundation for the Support of Women's Work) supports the participation of vulnerable women in the working world by offering them access to professional training and helping them to set up micro-companies.
The project aims to help women enter the working world, based on:
- Training and help setting up micro-businesses.
- Professional training to match demand on the labour market.
Learning how to run a business: the organization plans to support 200 women over two years in setting up micro-businesses, based on:
- A study of the local business environment.
- Identifying niches and opportunities for a micro-business.
- Building a multi-sectoral partnership to foster the involvement of major business stakeholders.
The women are expected to put forward business proposals based on the local business situation. To help them achieve this aim, they will benefit from:
- A feasibility study.
-A financing study.
-training and advice.
A business plan will then be drawn up as part of an application for support from a micro-credit programme.
Suitable professional skills: the professional training offered by the association will take into account the real needs of businesses, which will be considered as part of a preliminary study.
Thanks to opening of a Women and Child Centre, the participants will be trained to take better care of their children (family support programme) and provide day-care facilities for other women who are already in employment.
300 women and 100 children benefit from the support of the FSWW.
