The goal of the "Conecta" project is to help people at risk of exclusion from their society, family and/or culture by reintegrating them into the work market.

Specialist educators provide professional and psychological support for these people, who thus can be sure of finding a job. The Carrefour Group in Spain has been partnering this project for several years, and beneficiaries gain the necessary skills to obtain employment with Carrefour. Knowledge of the training process and the company's requirements increases their employability. During the project, a trainee benefits from 500 hours of training.

Moreover, experience gained from working in a network with other corporate entities and the ability to interpret the company's concrete needs contribute to the effectiveness of the EXIT Foundation's activity.
Lastly, by pre-selecting candidates and helping new employees to integrate, the programme facilitates their progress and ensures that they are successful in fulfilling their job contracts.

In three years, this partnership between the Carrefour foundation and the Exit foundation enabled the training of 269 persons and the participation of 74 trainees. The project is also a step towards employment because 22 of the trained persons were hired at Carrefour since 2008.

In 2010, the Exit foundation was rewarded by the Prince and the Princess of the Asturias and Girona for its activities in close collaboration with companies to favour the insertion of the young people experiencing social exclusion.

In 2011, the second phase of the Conecta Project has been launched. It is aimed at making the EXIT Foundation become the first partner of Carrefour in terms of recruitment and formation. The association will benefit from 61 000 € from the Carrefour Foundation to achieve this goal.
