Indonesia : Strong solidarity from Carrefour in Sumatra
Carrefour's help to the victims of the two earthquakes
Products have been delivered a couple of days ago (between friday 9 and monday 12 of October 2009)
In response to the appeal for international aid launched by the Indonesian authorities, the Carrefour International Foundation has decided to help the victims of the earthquake in the Indonesian island of Sumatra by granting initial emergency aid of €200,000. This financial help has been used to bring food (rice, water, noodles...) and other goods (blankets, emergency lamps, tarpaulins...) to the victims and their families. The Ibu Foundation and the Mercy Relief association are coordinating the humanitarian help, in Pandang and other disaster areas.
