Spain : DIA gets the Corresponsables award for its support to FESBAL
The Corresponsables awards recognize the work of large and small businesses, public entities and non-profit organizations in all aspects of social responsibility.
An award in the "Large Company" category was given to DIA for the "Agreement signed with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL)" to provide assistance through food distribution for the growing number of people on the threshold of poverty in Spain.
The Corresponsables Foundation awarded the first edition of the Corresponsables awards to the most innovative and sustainable initiatives in the field of social responsibility. The event, which took place on November 19th 2010 in the Mapfre Convention Centre with more than 400 people present, was attended by Ramón Jáuregui, Minister of the Presidency.
