Carrefour Polska, partner for a Disney concert for children in Warsaw

To celebrate the Day of the Child on May 27, a children's concert was held in the Conference Hall at the Warsaw Palace of Culture and Sciences. Carrefour Polska was one of the main partners in this event, which combined the disciplines of film and music to teach young listeners about classical music.

For this free performance, the Polish Radio Orchestra played live under the direction of Łukasz Borowicz, accompanying Walt Disney's most popular cartoons such as "The Little Mermaid", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Aladdin".

The "Magical World of Music" concert is part of an educational campaign run by the city of Warsaw to familiarize children with the arts and teach them about musical culture through direct contact with symphonic music. The concerts take place twice a year: on the Day of the Child and Saint Nicholas' Day. The first was held on December 8, 2007. It was attended by over 2,000 children.

This is the second time that Carrefour Polska has sponsored this educational, multi-media cycle for children.

Supporting culture and arts events, such as the concert of Christmas carols and New Year songs, "Share Your Joy" at Lublin, shows the active commitment of Carrefour Polska into social life.
