‘Carrefour for Thais’, a charity project

For its 12th anniversary, Carrefour Thailand introduced ‘Carrefour for Thais’, a charity project.

Carrefour Thailand recently celebrated the ‘Carrefour 12th Anniversary–12 Years of Friendship’ party at the Carrefour Ladprao on 29th February 2008. The fabulous party also introduced ‘Carrefour for Thais’, the latest Carrefour charity project to raise funds for 12 charitable organizations throughout the year 2008. 

Mr. Philippe Broianigo, managing director of Carrefour mentioned that ‘the contribution to society where we are located has always been in our utmost concern. For this year we established ‘Carrefour for Thais’, the latest social contribution project to raise funds to support 12 charitable organizations throughout the year. The funds will broaden the helps for these charity organizations including Thai Animal Guardians Association, Elephant Reintroduction Foundation, Thailand Environment Foundation (TEF), The Foundation for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen. We are faithful to the concept of caring about people and society wherever we are present and will continue to promote better quality of life.’

From 29th February to 30th May 2008, Carrefour Thailand has collected more funds from Donation boxes for a total amount of 648,000 baht.
